Tres muertos tras doble embate de ciclones Lidia y Max

Protección Civil federal dio a conocer el saldo hasta el momento de afectaciones tras el doble embate de los ciclones Max y Lidia

Tres personas muertas y cientos se refugiaron en albergues del occidente de México tras el doble embate de los ciclones Max y Lidia, que de manera sorpresiva entró al país como huracán categoría 4, según informaron este miércoles las autoridades mexicanas.

Lidia, ahora como baja presión remanente, dejó un muerto en el estado de Nayarit tras tocar tierra el miércoles en Jalisco, expuso Laura Velázquez, coordinadora nacional de Protección Civil, en la conferencia matutina del Gobierno.

Se han reportado dos lesionados en Autlán de Navarro y otro en Cihuatlán (ambos en Jalisco), y se han abierto 45 refugios y se tiene hasta el momento 171 personas refugiadas en estos albergues. Asimismo, se reporta un fallecido por caída de árbol en Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit”, indicó la funcionaria.

Las víctimas de Lidia se suman a dos muertos por Max, que se debilitó tras tocar tierra como tormenta tropical el lunes en Guerrero, estado del sur del país, donde una persona murió tras caer en un socavón en la carretera Acapulco-Zihuatanejo y otro hombre falleció arrastrado por la corriente en el municipio de Técpan.

Por el impacto de Lidia, la coordinadora de Protección Civil enunció el despliegue de 32 mil 293 elementos de las Fuerzas Armadas, 741 vehículos, cuatro cocinas comunitarias, nueve aeronaves, 13 embarcaciones y 403 equipos especializados.

La Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), añadió la funcionaria, ha recuperado el servicio eléctrico en un 22 por ciento de las zonas afectadas.

Los municipios con más lluvias fueron Autlán, Cihuatlán, Tolimán y Tomatlán en Jalisco, así como Comala y Armería en Colima, detalló Velázquez.

En los estados del Pacífico de México hubo desbordamiento de ríos, inundaciones de casas y fuertes lluvias en las costas.

“El día de hoy se llevará a cabo un recorrido en los municipios de Tomatlán y Autlán que han sido los más afectados para determinar cuáles son los daños y detectar las necesidades de la población y evidentemente detectar los daños a la infraestructura y a la vivienda”, reportó la funcionaria.

Persisten las fuertes lluvias en México

A pesar de la degradación de Lidia, sus “remanentes propiciarán lluvias muy fuertes en Colima, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Michoacán, Nayarit y Zacatecas”, avisó el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN).

Se estima que las lluvias de mayor intensidad estén acompañadas de descargas eléctricas, rachas fuertes de viento y posible caída de granizo; podrían ocasionar encharcamientos, además del incremento en los niveles de ríos y arroyos, así como deslaves e inundaciones en zonas bajas”, advirtió el SMN.

Lidia y Max son el decimosegundo y decimotercer ciclón con nombre de esta temporada en el Pacífico, donde también se han formado Adrian, Beatriz, Calvin, Dora, Eugene, Fernanda, Greg, Hilary, Irwin, Jova y Kenneth.

De ellos, el más dañino ha sido Hilary, que en agosto dejó cuatro muertos en los estados de Baja California, Baja California Sur y Sinaloa.

El Gobierno de México pronosticó en mayo la formación de hasta 38 ciclones con nombre en la temporada de 2023, con cinco que azotarían al país.
